Men’s 16-inch softball has been a staple of the Marshalltown Softball Association for years, bringing experienced teams and new players together in a competitive and welcoming summer league.
The larger 16-inch ball creates a different style of game than traditional 12-inch softball, emphasizing placement, defense, teamwork, and strategy. Whether you’re a longtime player or trying this traditional style for the first time, there’s a place for you at MSA.

MSA Men’s 16-inch softball follows USA Softball 16-inch slow-pitch rules, with additional league-specific regulations established by MSA.

All players must complete the appropriate participant waiver before playing. If you participate on multiple teams or in more than one MSA league, you only need to complete the waiver once for the current MSA league year.
For participants age 18 and older.
For participants under 18. A parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver.
Managers are responsible for having their team ready at its scheduled game time and making sure all players have completed their waivers. Players and managers should review the current league packet before the season begins.
